BIMCO launches new initiative: FAQ for the BIMCO Dry Bulk Cargo Network

We have listed frequently asked questions to help you with operational challenges and understanding the regulatory framework surrounding the shipment of dry bulk cargoes. The answers include links to relevant explanations.

As many of the questions which have come up in the online meetings held in the BIMCO Dry Bulk Cargo Network are very likely to be of interest to other BIMCO members, we have started to compile a list as an easy-to-use FAQ.

These online networks meetings offer the opportunity to learn and understand better how the regulatory framework of dry cargoes, for example, the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code and MARPOL Annex V should be correctly implemented.

We will update the FAQ as soon as possible after each meeting to reflect the questions raised and topics discussed.

We encourage all BIMCO owner members dealing with the shipment of dry bulk cargoes to join the network, where you will get the opportunity to ask questions and get useful information and/or knowledge from other members. Meetings are all held online.
